Indian Stoke is such a fabulous experience I can hardly say enough great things about it! Where to begin? From the super spicy to the savory and sweet, every bite is an adventure. I recommend going with a large group and sampling sampling sampling away! I tend to favor the super spicy options, but can’t always polish off a plate of fire by myself, so I find sharing is a friends best option! The beer is also fabulous. I like to sample and share with friends or get a beer flight. If they have the flights available, I’d say that’d be your best bet. Share a flight with friends, then order the full shebang when you find one that really suits your fancy. Though I’ve hardly ever met a beer I didn’t like, there are really no bad Indian beers I can think of. They tend to leave me feeling a bit woozy though…so I’d suggest cutting yourself off after a few unless you plan on going home to nap straight away!

There are also several very good out of town Glasgow shopping centres, if the thought of driving into the centre doesn’t appeal to you. Glasgow Fort, just of the M8 is very popular as is the Parkhead Forge which is situated in the East End of the city. Further south is the massive Silverburn mall. However, if it’s a uniquely Glasgow shopping experience you are after then you must take in the sights, sounds and smells of the weekly markets at the Barras in the east end of the city. This market is a haven for all kinds of colourful characters, and its fair to say that if you want to buy it, you can usually find it here – and I mean almost anything you want to buy! Say no more. The Barras has been open for business for over 100 years now and is part tourist attraction, part unique retail experience.
If you are more into designer brands and the latest fashions, then you really should check out the distinctive and very up-market Princes Square which is located just off Buchanan Street. This small, but perfectly formed mall houses some of the top designer brands in the city, and attracts image conscious buyers from all over Scotland , keen to pick up the latest designer fashion. Beware, though, for prices are as high end as the shopping experience itself.
So, if its some retail therapy you are after, then you must plan a Glasgow shopping excursion. The range and number of shops to be found across the city is unmatched anywhere else in Scotland. You are sure to have a great day out, and most likely find some great bargains as well.
